Basildon Greenway Group

The task of a PPA should be well within the scope of the vast majority of our members and it is an easy way for Basildon Greenway Ramblers to make a real contribution to our Charitable Objectives.

So, what are we expecting the PPA to do?

  • Walk every path in their allocated Parish once each year.
  • Note all the faults encountered from an agreed range
  • Report the faults on the Highways website
  • Copy the faults to the Group Working Party

Details of the type of faults and how to report them will be provided, along along with how to use the website, Coaching will be available for anyone having difficulty.

The actual task of a PPA is relatively easy and is unlikely to occupy the equivalent of more than 2 or 3 days each year, depending on the size of the Parish.  We do not operate a PPA scheme at the moment so ther is a wide choice of areas to choose from.
